Vint Schoenfeldt
MPT, MTC, CSCS

Playing college baseball was Vint's dream as he spent endless hours from an early age practicing and perfecting his favorite sport. As a Centerfielder for Brigham Young University this dream took a brief detour as he sustained a low back injury. This injury required daily visits to the Physical Therapist as they helped him recover and return to play. He was intrigued by their ability to combine hands-on treatment, exercise and other modalities to heal his injuries. From this experience, he knew he wanted to be a Physical Therapist and this interest led him to pursue his undergraduate degree in exercise science and continue on to get his graduate degree in Physical Therapy.

When his baseball playing days were over, Vint became involved in the sport of cycling and competed at a high level for many years. This involvement allowed him the opportunity to work as a Team Physical Therapist for the U.S. Mountain Bike Team at the World Championships for three years. During this time he traveled to Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Italy to treat the riders' injuries and prepare them to race. He enjoyed this opportunity to combine his profession with the sport of cycling.

Vint developed a love for Colorado when he visited several times while in college to compete in bicycle races and Nordic ski races while skiing for the BYU Nordic Ski Team. After attending Physical Therapy school in Southern California, he could not return to the Rocky Mountains fast enough. He worked in busy orthopaedic sports medicine clinics in Beverly Hills, CA, Thousand Oaks, CA, and Las Vegas, NV prior to making his way to Colorado.

Since finishing school in 1996, Vint has continued his post-graduate education by becoming a Certified Manual Therapist through the University of St. Augustine in Florida and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. His Manual Therapy Certification is an internationally recognized certification with only 1700 University of St. Augustine Certified Physical Therapists in the world. This certification distinguishes him as an expert in the field who possesses the knowledge and skill set to examine his patients and manually treat their dysfunctions in a more comprehensive manner. This training is considered the "gold standard" of care in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation.

Vint enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He coaches his children's softball and baseball teams, skis with them in the winter and tries to stay active in the sport of cycling.
