Ryan Winters
DPT, CSCS

Ryan has been a sports enthusiast since a very young age growing up in the middle of four brothers in a small farming community in Iowa. Ryan dedicated his life to excelling at football. He played through high school and continued at the University of South Dakota and Wartburg College winning two conference championships. In 1999 Ryan went under the knife for a career-changing ACL reconstruction. Through the rehabilitation process and returning to play college football, Ryan had found his new life passion, Physical Therapy.

Ryan was intrigued by a move to Colorado from the Midwest by his then girlfriend and now wife Lindsay Winters. The outdoors and recreational opportunities were too much to ignore. Ryan moved to Colorado in 2004 to attend Regis University to pursue his doctorate in Physical Therapy. Ryan and Lindsay exchanged vows on September 1, 2007 at Red Rocks Park in true Colorado fashion. Ryan and his wife enjoy hiking, skiing, camping, tennis, biking, tae bo, snowboarding, and all other activities Colorado has to offer.

Since starting Physical Therapy school Ryan has strived to learn as much as he can about the human body and human performance. Ryan’s first love of increasing the human body’s ability to perform at a higher level led him to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Ryan has worked with athletes, both individually and as a team, to develop yearly training programs to efficiently increase the performance of these high level athletes. Now Ryan works with all individuals to help them achieve their lifetime health and fitness goals.

Ryan completed a 12-week internship under Owner-Eric Krell learning the mechanical aspect of joint, muscle, and soft tissue dysfunction. With this knowledge Ryan takes a mechanical viewpoint with his patients to find the underlying dysfunction that is leading to the patient’s impairment. Ryan has started the process to gain his Manual Therapy Certification from the University of St. Augustine and is also working towards his Sports Therapy Certification. Ryan takes a whole-body approach to therapy addressing the specific complaints of his patients while also encouraging a continued life of health and wellness.
