Carrie Cooper MSPT, CPRS
Carrie is a Highlands Ranch, Colorado native of sorts. Being an air force "brat," she moved all around the country growing up, finally settling in Colorado in 1985. A graduate of the University of Colorado in Boulder (1996) and the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center (1999), Carrie's roots have taken a firm hold in Colorado. She has practiced specialized orthopedic Physical Therapy in both Boulder and Denver and is proud to be your neighborhood Physical therapist, seeing patients from age 3 months to 103 years old.
Carrie is a family fanatic, spending all of her free time with her two children and husband Eric. Typical weekends include long family car trips to, "wherever the road ends," where she can explore her other passion, digital photography. If you have an extra hour or two, ask her to show you her scrapbooks! Carrie is also an avid music lover, playing six instruments at last count. She has one behemoth of a dog named Murphy and a pesky cat named Anakin Skywalker. She is very thankful to have her parents and in-laws all within two miles of her home.
Carrie earned her National Certification in Rehabilitation Pilates from Polestar Education in Miami, FL. She loves Pilates as an adjunct to manual therapy because of how she can use it to teach patients about posture and movement dysfunction as related to their injury or pain. Carrie is also currently seeking her Professional Doctorate in Physical Therapy and is on her way to an Advanced Manual Therapy Certification.
Carrie spends time during her evaluations not only differential diagnosing the source of her patients pain or dysfunction, but delves into the preceding factors to injury. By treating both the current injury and its causative factors, Carrie strives to have all of her patients leave Physical Therapy better than they were before injury.
