Cost effectiveness of physiotherapy, manual therapy, and general practitioner care for neck pain: economic evaluation alongside a randomized controlled trial. |
| Results |
|
The manual therapy group showed a faster improvement than the physiotherapy group and general practitioner care group up to 26 weeks. |
| Conclusion |
|
The manual therapy group (spinal mobilization) is more effective and less costly for treating neck pain than physiotherapy or care by a general practitioner |

Physical Therapy Treatment Effectiveness for Osteoarthritis of the Knee: A Radomized Comparison of Supervised Clinical Exercise and Manual Therapy Procedures Versus a Home Exercise Program |
| Conclusion |
|
The comprehensive clinical treatment program (manual therapy combined with supervised exercise) resulted in large improvements, reproducing the results previously reported for the same therapeutic regimen. After 1 month of treatment, the average improvement in pain, stiffness, and function seen in the clinic treatment group was twice the magnitude of the improvement observed in the home exercise group. |

Physical Therapy Clinic Performance in Treatment of Patients with Low Back Pain Syndrome. |
| Results |
|
Clinics that were lower utilizers of physical therapist assistants were 6.6 times more likely to be classified into the high effectiveness group compared with the low effectiveness group, 6.7 times more likely to be classified in the low utilization group compared with the high utilization group, and 12.4 times more likely to be classified in the best performance group compared with the worst performance group. |
| Note |
|
Rocky Mountain Spine and Sport, LLC does not employ physical therapist assistants or technicians as this study supports what has been our business model since 2003. This means at RMSS you will get highly effective physical therapy with lower utilization (less visits equals less money out of your pocket). |
| Conclusion |
|
These findings suggest that, in the treatment of patients with low back pain syndromes, clinics that are low utilizers of physical therapist assistants are more likely to provide superior care (ie, better patient outcomes and lower service use). |

The Audible Pop Is Not Necessary for Successful Spinal High-Velocity Thrust Manipulation in Individuals with Low Back Pain |
| Conclusion |
|
There is no relationship between an audible pop during SI (sacroiliac) region manipulation and improvement in ROM (range of motion), pain, or disability in individuals with nonradicular LBP (low back pain). Additionally, the occurrence of a pop did not improve the odds of a dramatic improvement with manipulation treatment. |

The Effectiveness of Manual Physical Therapy and Exercise for Mechanical Neck Pain: A Randomized Clinical Trial |
| Conclusion |
|
An impairment-based MTE (manual physical therapy and exercise) program resulted in clinically and statistically short- and long-term improvements in pain, disability, and patient -perceived recovery in patients with mechanical neck pain when compared to a program comprising advice, a mobility exercise, and subtherapeutic ultrasound. |
